Business and Company Law is an introduction to the law regulating business in Australia. The course will give you a basic understanding of the Australian business law and company law. Students are introduced to the Australian Legal System focusing on the two sources of Australian Law, courts, tribunals and the interpretation of legislation. A subset of those laws which regulate business transactions and protect the client/customer data generated from such transactions is then considered.

The remainder of the course focuses on the variety of business structures available to a business owner with particular emphasis on the corporate structure, its governance and its stakeholders. After successfully completing the course you will be able to identify potential legal issues in business and management. The knowledge that you gain in this course will be invaluable in your career, especially in undertaking your business and professional responsibilities
