ECON2032

Econometric Principles is a course designed to introduce students to modern econometric techniques. The primary aim of this course is to broaden students' understanding beyond the classical regression model and to enhance their proficiency in methods frequently employed in the analysis of data in the fields of economics, finance, and business.

The unit covers a range of main topics, including heteroscedasticity, stochastic regressors, limited dependent variables, time-series regression and panel data analysis. It is particularly beneficial for students interested in extracting valuable insights from economic data in a statistically valid manner.
