Students are introduced to the analysis and interpretation of financial statements, where they are required to calculate and interpret key financial ratios, in order to gain insight into key aspects of, and make recommendations about, an entity's performance. Students are also introduced to the use of accounting software.

Assumed background: ACCT1110 operates under the assumption that students do not have a background in accounting or prior accounting knowledge.
